Plan w M: October 2020

At the end of every month I do a review of how I did that previous month. This is also the best time to set goals for next month. October is the start of the last quarter, so I also want to look at my long term goals. I have a clear vision for my secondhand bookshop. "We become what we think about all day long." If you had a goal and thought about it on a regular basis you would reach it more easily. I always ask myself these questions:

What are my top 3 goals for this month?

Make $360 - organize my inventory - list 300 items

What are my weekly goals to accomplish those long term goals?

60 listings posted weekly, share on social media, set up bookshelf, create a SKU system, have a shop routine

What could I have done different in the previous month to improve my shop revenue?

Inventory will help me save time looking for books that need to be shipped. List every single day 2-4 items or 10-15 listings. Focus on listing books with high resell value and begin listing clothes & decor.

| How Much Did I Make In September? |

One week I made $53.77, another week $84.86, one week $48.49, and the last week I made $36.79. My total in sales for September was $223.31. That was less than August, where I made $351.13.  September profits is still considered a success, I am so so grateful for each and every sale. I had a total of 31 orders in September compared to 31 orders in August, that's crazy! Obviously some of the books that sold had a higher resell value.

It is October 1st as of writing this. Halloween is this month and it's preptober for National Writing Month!

Listings on Etsy = 34

Listings on Mercari =  165

Listings on Depop = 175+

I have a thrift with me post next and I got some things for my bookshop. I only listed one item yesterday! I am so grateful to God for taking care of me during this difficult time. I pray next year will be better. This bookstore means so much to me and I really believe I can hit record sales this month!
