 How much money did I end up losing with this? The reason for the refund will make your eyes roll. Let's start from the beginning: Listed these dover thrift books - 4 women's writers, all of them are a collection of short stories. Beautiful books, I wanted to keep them for myself anyways. I had them listed for $24. I knew I could sell them between $6-$8 and I knew that it was an awesome collection to find all together. These books I got at the Hospice for a quarter each. So my COG was $1.  The buyer messaged me and talked me down on my price, I agreed because I was hurting financially. Here's her messages asking if I accepted offers, which I do, I have it in my bio.  And then, to my dismay, 8 days later she requests a refund. I try to handle it with grace, of course I want to save the sale.  My reply: I am scared that I was that vulnerable, and I don't recommend other sellers be that open because then her denial felt rather insensitive to my very real situation.  so the

 I was so escatic when this item sold. I purchased this last year, it is a horse print denim jacket. Very unique. It sold on Depop which is the perfect market for it. I don't remember what I paid - I'm going to say $3 from the Hospice. It sold for $43 Free Shipping. The Depop fee was -4.30. The paypal fee was 2.06. Shipping cost was $5.42. My profit was $28.22. It's too bad that I didn't charge for shipping. The crazy thing was - I had a dream the night before this sold and it sold.  This book sold on Mercari for $19, it is a Landmark book on Ferdinand!!  On FBMP I sold the collected poems of Emily Dickinson for $6, buyer paid for shipping. Shipping cost was $3.45. My COG was .25 cents. My profit will be $5.24. I got this book September 9th and it sold right away after listing. see Thrift with Me! I spent $17.85 on books!   I ended up buying some things for myself. On FBMP I accepted an offer for the Blues Clues book for $4 buyer paid for shipping. Shipping cost $2.89, but I know it's going to cost more to ship so I'll have to manually go to the post office. This book was also picked up the same time I got the Emily Dickinson book.  This item sold on Etsy, it's been in my shop for months and months. it sold for $8.75 free shipping. After fees Etsy will deposit $7.78. My COG was .25. Shipping cost was $3.19. My profit was $4.34. On Mercari, I sold my skull and rose top. That's great it sold within a week of listing, so I can feel a little bit better about thrifting Septeber 9th. It sold for $15. the selling fee was $1.50. the processing fee was .74 cents.  buyer paid for shipping. My COG was .25. My profit $12.51. Also on Mercari, on September 11th's 20th anniversary, I sold "The Last Plane in the Sky, an Oral History of 9/11" for $19. I got this book sometimes in September, I forgot to post a thrift with me.  I could not stop myself from walking down a new road on a morning that smelled like Fall. I was a few minutes early to the Hospice. They had all fall and winter items. I told myself I wouldn't spend too much and I do feel like I need to work on my overspending. Tell myself not to buy myself anything, everything that is purchased is for resell.  I am so grateful I had today off from my new job. It's inspired me more to focus on my business. I really need to list! I couldn't help but go out and thrift, it's the one thing I look forward to every week so I'm not too hard on myself. I was lucky, clothes were .25 cents!! I think I found some cute things I can flip. I got 3 tops: a black ruffle dress (feels super gothic lolita, emo Y2k), a fairycore reinsanssance top with this trippy design, lace, ruffles, this is super cute, and a No Boundries top that's super cute but perfect for Halloween - it has skulls and roses.  Next I did get some books of course! I regretted this buy because it's not a big flip, i thought i could sell it for like $40 but I sold it for $10 plus buyer paid $9 shipping. i paid $3 for this!! The FBMP fee was .95.
