End of the Month Review - August 2021

How many orders did I have this month? How much was my profit for August? How many books left the shop? Anything new happen in the bookshop? What Sold August 1-7 What Sold August 8-14 What Sold August 15-21 What Sold August 22-31 27 orders this month. That sounds about right I average 20-30 orders per month.  I turned $9.50 into $388.36 profit! 30 books left the shop ! Plus I did giveaway some books - 3 I believe.  This was my first time I sold a record. I sold 2 in one month so I will definitely keep a look out.  I also started a job, my hire date with Subway was August 17th.

What I thrifted in August 2021

I neglected to make Thrift W Me posts for all the new inventory I sourced this month. I started a new job so on Friday I treated myself to shopping for books. I'm really hoping this first week of September I don't have too many hours. I am having a lot of trouble working a traditional job due to my mental illness and chronic illness.  Having this job will help pay my bills, keeping me secure, and I can have a little more wiggle room for my business. I need to buy bins and bookshelves for all my inventory. Here is a haul I did for my youtube channel. I know it's terrible but it's the best I can do right now.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxbwcJSxVng I also got some bins this month for storage and it's such a great feeling knowing the books are safe. Here are some books I got for free: These books below I surprisngly got from the Courthouse! I also feel like it's a good sign that someone left The Illusionist and Skyrim at the Free Library, a sign to add more D

These two nature themed books sold on Wonderlust for $23.40. the Paypal fee was $1.31. Shipping was $3.45. My COG was a quarter. My profit $18.39. My friend donated to my Ko-fi, without her help I would not have been able to get a doctor's appointment and I need to take my depression/nerve medication at least for my followers who really care about me and what to see me get better.  I haven't listed anything in days due to my toothache, i'm miserable tbh. Even Anthony has been saying things like "Why don't you just go lie down, go to bed?" or "I'm sorry your tooth hurts so much." I am also still trying to figure out the shipping for this record/LP. I'm going to have to make one with cardboard, and i did see some in a trash can outside the postoffice that's very thick/ high end. After a lot of relisting, Barney's Favorite Mother Goose Ryhmes sold on Depop for $12. The  Depop fee was $1.20. The Processing fee was .67. Shipping costs $2

Thrift with Me! - I spent $3.75 on these forgotten masterpieces!!

All I had was the change in my purse and since I had walked all the way to the Post Office, I decided to walk the distance to my honey pot, the Hospice. Which is becoming more and more less of a secret.  I gifted Alexander The Final Cut to Anthony because it is his favorite movie. There's 45 minutes of unseen footage for him. The shelves again were empty of books, so i picked up Trump Surviving at the Top to add to my other Art of the Deal to hopefully sell as a bundle. Before the elections, Trump was a liked guy. On Oprah, in rap songs, and even made an appearance on Home Alone.  Let It Go" is Avril Lavignes first album and my pre teen years on a disc. The case is a little scratched up, but the CD looked in great condition. I haven't put my CD's up for sell yet since I want to test them first.  The Scooby-Doo Storybook Collection is too perfect. I will put it together with a Scooby Doo plush toy and list right away. It only has a name in the front and has all clean p

Thrift w/ me: I spend $6.21!!

I should not have gone thrifting. I should not have gone thrifting. I should not have gone thrifting. I found $6 in my purse and I went thrifting to my favorite place hoping that they stocked the books. The shelves were miserably empty, but I didn't want to waste my trip and went around looking for treasure. Hopefully I can sell one of these items to make my money back from this thrift. Probably the most expensive was the Tommy Hilfinger skirt. I got it because (1) brand name (2) style (3) back to school occasion. This was $3. This next piece I'm pretty sure is handmade / DIY but it's lovely. It's a large candle jar with a cork lid, and someone glued a stone gardenia. Gardenias is my favorite flower. It was .50 cents. I don't know if I will sell this because it costs a lot to ship. I couldn't resist for .50 cents. It's perfect for all my book stickers. I grabbed this vintage metal tin, a teacher probably used it for cards. It was .25 cents and I planned on
