Thrift With Me!! // Thrift Shoppe Downtown & Healthy Habits

It was fill a bag for $10!! I tried to pick some pieces that would sell.  Two items I regret picking up.   I stayed within the small-medium range. I got 8 pieces so that means my costs of goods were $1.40. They only accepted cash. I spent too much on fees. $3 fee at the ATM. $2.50 using an out of service ATM. I only had $11 in cash, so I filled a bag thinking about Daily Refinements motto "Buy at $8 sell for $25." I spent $11 hopping to make $30. Having A Separate Account for Business I signed up for a Chime card and set up my side hustle for direct deposit.  sourcing and buying shipping labels today came out of the money I had earned from my latest sales. What a relief! Now I wasn't mixing personal expenses with business expenses. Now I won't overspend. The other financial goal is to set aside money each paycheck to reach the first savings goal: to have one month living expenses.   Setting Up A Savings Account Cash App added a Savings Account that ma...

52 Week Side Hustle Money Saving Challenge!! Week 1 & 2

Week 1 & 2 of my 52 Week Savings Challenge 🌱 . A fun way to save money is with the 52 week challenge. On week 1 you save $1, Week 2 save $2, on week 38 you save $38, and so on until the end of the year. I added a twist to my challenge! The twist is that I have to earn the money with side hustles. Do you know how hard that will be to save every week? My partner asked when I told him the idea. That's the point of a challenge!! . For Week 1 and 2 I earned this through tips at my survival job, which I no longer have any more. Check out my blog for more money making tips and strategies!

The Frugal Fairy // Smart Shopping, I saved $19 with coupons!

I want to be more conscious with my spending and I’ve started couponing! I got all the coupons from inserts in the Sunday paper. I spent an afternoon cutting them up. I put all of them in my purse, then went to the store. I took $40 cash so I wouldn’t get carried away. I got my cart and went to the clearance section to see if I could use any of my coupons, then the makeup isle for some concealer and mascara, two items I was out of. I saved $19  on products I needed and good brands! When I got home I scanned my receipt into an app called  Fetch  and  Ibotta . I got .25 cents back from shopping at Family Dollar using Ibotta and 1,333 points for buying certain brands on Fetch. (Pro Tip: use my code  𝗛𝗪𝟳𝗚𝟵𝟮   for your first 2,000 points !) It’s not much, but it’s good to know I’m getting something back from shopping. Photo below: Needful things! Dove Body Wash, Palmolive Degreaser/Dish Soap, Breyers Chocolate Icecream, AXE deodrant, AXE body spray,...
