What I thrifted in August 2021

 I neglected to make Thrift W Me posts for all the new inventory I sourced this month. I started a new job so on Friday I treated myself to shopping for books. I'm really hoping this first week of September I don't have too many hours. I am having a lot of trouble working a traditional job due to my mental illness and chronic illness. 

Having this job will help pay my bills, keeping me secure, and I can have a little more wiggle room for my business. I need to buy bins and bookshelves for all my inventory.

I also got some bins this month for storage and it's such a great feeling knowing the books are safe.

These books below I surprisngly got from the Courthouse! I also feel like it's a good sign that someone left The Illusionist and Skyrim at the Free Library, a sign to add more DVD's and video games!

This week I'm determined to list list list! I list new items every day. This week I sold a total of 20 books, 2 clothing items, and a photo album. I spent $11.48 and made $178.13. Lady Midnight, 13 Reasons Why Had a 15% off sale on my Depop. She paid $12.75. The PayPal fee was .67 cents. It cost $3.86 to ship. The Depop fee was 1.28. I made a total of $6.94. What Sold october 23-31

Sales have been very slow on Depop and Mercari. It's time to invest more into Etsy! I've decided to source antique and vintage books for my Etsy store.  To help improve sales on Depop, I've started to add hashtags to all my listings.  Lot of 3 green antique books Sold on Etsy for $30. It cost $3.33 to ship. After fees, my profit was $24.46. Wildalone  Got this book free so it was all profit. Sold on Mercari for $9. The selling fee was .90 cents. Since this was posted before Mercaris October Update I did not get charged a processing fee. Shipping was $3.33. I made $4.77. Apples This is my poetry chapbook available for download only on Etsy. I had another sale running for 15% off. This helped pay my etsy fees too.  Vintage Halloween books I was sure I'd get more for these because they are so old and in great shape. I made offers on my Halloween books and this sold for $9. Mercari fee was .90 cents and .56 cents.   Shipping ...

What Sold in my bookshop October 1 - 7

🎃👻This is the first week of October! Let's see how much I made. Sadly this was my slowest week in sales in 3 months - only 6 sales! Depop has made some changes to the app: added cropping to photos and a My DNA tab to find items you love. It's important not to give up.  3 out of 6 sales were from Mercari. I sold a total of 8 books (I spent $1.50)  and made $24.49.  Frontiers, Prarie Brides Sent an offer for $7 and they accepted. The Mercari fee was .70. Shipping cost was $3.33. I made $2.97. The Outsiders Someone sent me an offer for $7 and I said yes. The Mercari fee was .70. Shipping cost $2.80. I made $3.50   Demi Lovato, Staying Strong Sold for $8. The Mercari seller fee was .80 cents. Shipping cost was $2.80. I made $4.40.   Harry the Dirty Dog This sold on Depop for $9.81. The Depop fee was .98 cents. The shipping fee was $2.80.
