first time Retail Arbitrage

I've never done retail arbitrage before because I'd rather source from ethical and local businesses, but I broke that rule today. I found 3 books from the dollar tree that were recently published, hardcover, with the original stickers on it. Definately might change my mind about doing this more to have more modern books in my bookstore.

I never go to the Dollar Tree because it's in Kilgore and I dont drive, but that old lady Miss Alice decided to drive down after Anthony's interview. I also got a Dr. Seuss calendar I might resell instead of keeping it myself

What Sold in my Bookshop October 8 - 14

This week I'm determined to list list list! I list new items every day. This week I sold a total of 20 books, 2 clothing items, and a photo album. I spent $11.48 and made $178.13. Lady Midnight, 13 Reasons Why Had a 15% off sale on my Depop. She paid $12.75. The PayPal fee was .67 cents. It cost $3.86 to ship. The Depop fee was 1.28. I made a total of $6.94. LuLa Roe Disney Alice in Wonderland leggings These sold 22 hours after listing them and since it was a repeat buyer I offered 10% off from $25. I really appreciate repeat buyers. This sold in the Facebook group Wonderlust Marketplace. Sold for $22.50, PayPal fee was .95, and the shipping label was $3.33. I made $18.22. Woman Who Runs w Wolves This sold for $20 which is a lot more than I imagined someone would pay for it. The Mercari fee was $2. Shipping was $3.33. I made $14.67. So far I've made $39.83. Did I do better than the week before? I barely listed any items. Days went by where I didn't list. I had sales on all 3 platforms. Maas = $7.50 Y2k denim overbust shrug / bolero asymmetrical = $40.25 $79.82 - $4.25 COG = $75.57 These are the kind of weeks I like as a hobbiest/ side hustle. $80-$200 a week is preferable. But there's a LOT of work into reselling, you should set your goals higher. $100 a day.

I paid $1 for this. My earnings were $11.69. sold antique book lot for $76. These were free. I made $65.49. Sold vampire book lot. FREE. I made $4.58 from this $6 sale. Sold The Catcher in the Rye, for $5. I earned $3.73. Sold The Fisherman's Wharf, FREE I sold for $13. I made 10.68.
