Gotta squeeze as many sales I can!

On Mercari, the Mythology book sold when i made an offer to a liker for $9 Free Shipping. The selling fee was 90 cents. The processing fee was .56 cents. Shipping was $2.89. My COG was .25 cents. My profit was $4.40. This book almost paid for all the books I sourced last week.

(Kelsey) Mercari coming through again. I got a message asking to bundle some of the Nicholas Sparks books I listed. I always pick him up, he is so plentiful and I'll post his romance books in lots. He has a strong fan base. For $18 shipped I sold A Walk To Remember, The Longest Ride, and A Bend in the Road. The selling fee was $1.80. the processing fee was .82 cents. Shipping costs was $4.01. My COG was .75 cents. My profit $10.62!

Woke up to a sale on Mercari for The Heart is a Lonely Hunter for $10 shipped. The selling fee was $1 and the processing fee was .59. My COG was .25 and I did invest .20 to have it listed on Etsy. Shipping costs was $2.89. My profit was $5.07

Had a sale on Etsy! On weekends I run sales. A Separate Peace sold for $11.06. After fees, Etsy deposited $7.46. Shipping cost was $2.89. My COG was free. My profit was $4.57

Another Mercari order! Someone made an offer for $15 shipped on my Kate Spade eyeglassess case. I had it at $18 and I accepted. My COG was .50. I'll def. pick up Kate Spade in the future b/c this flipped quick. My selling fee was 1.50. The processing fee was .74 cents. Shipping first class cost $3.03 using Pirate Ship I saved a dollar. My profit was $9.23.

(Note to self: I just realized with media mail that's $4+ I could see if first class is cheaper through Pirate Ship.)

All my sales have been off Mercari! Depop is so dead to me. This book lot was also part of my Listing Challenge. It was a set of 3 Philla Gregorry historical fiction books for $15 free shipping. The selling fee was 1.50. The processing fee was .74 cents. Shipping costs $5.13. I got these books last year for .25 so my COG was .75. My profit was $6.88

Finally a sale on Depop! And it was a beautiful sale too. Sold this gorgeous illustrated book of Repunzel for $20 Free Shipping. The Depop fee was $2. The Paypal fee was .92 cents. Shipping cost was $3.45. My profit was $13.63

On Wonderlust I replied to a ISO post - someone was looking for large skirts/ dresses for a festival. I got this brown skirt recently this year to go with a soft-cosplay pirate outfit but the skirt didn't fit me. I asked for $45 shipped and she accepted. The paypal fee was 1.61. Shipping costs $9.93. I think i paid $3. my profit was $30.46!

My 2nd VHS tape sold! This Velveteen Rabbit tape sold for $9 free shipping. After fees, Etsy deposited $7.55. I'll ship this media mail for $2.89. My COG was only .10 cents. I profited $4.56

Spooky season is around the corner! There is one week left for finals before school is out until next semester, so my friend told me. Maybe the summer slow down really is over because this is the best week so far! On Mercari, someone bought  two ghostly books, and I threw in one free resin bookmark. I was surprised she didn't message me to bundle, so I wanted to throw something in there. Haunted Castles sold for $18 after fees I had $15.38 (the selling fee was 1.80 and the processing fee was 82 cents). Woodsworth Ghost Stories sold for $11 after fees I had $9.28(the selling fee was $1.10 and the processing fee was .62). That's a total of $24.66 before shipping costs!! Shipping was only $3.45. My COG was only .50 cents. My profit was a whopping 20.71!!

It's nice to see Etsy churning out sales! Everytime I run a sale on Etsy, I make a sale. I am very happy with this sale too because it's a very large book. So even if I don't have a lot of profit, it's a book that will free up space for 3 more books. I also had no idea this was book 5 in a series. The Shelters in Stone was $9.95 with 10% off. After fees, Etsy deposited $8.41. Shipping costs was $4.01. My COG was .25 cents. My profit was $4.15

This book sold within a week of listing!! Where the Crawdads Sing sold on FBMP. I accentally purhcased the wrong shipping label (wrong weight) so this will be a learning moment. What happens when you purchase a shipping label but it's the wrong weight? Hopefully USPS charges me the extra amount in postage, instead of charging me a whole separate shipping label. This book was free and sold for $11. The FBMP fee was The shipping costs will be $3.45. My profits were $6.96.

I bumped a bunch of listings I had on Wonderlust and this bundle of hollistic health books sold for $13 shipped. All these books were free. Sold for $13 shipped. The Paypal fee was .68 cents. Shipping costs $4.01. My profit was: $8.31

I turned $6.35 into $129.55!!

That's 17 books leaving the shop this week. And a large brown skirt! And a leather glasses case. And a VHS tape.

Very happy with this weeks sales!!

I also am very grateful for the $145 donation i recieved through Ko-fi. Without this I would not have been able to go to the doctor and get my RX

This week is my #motherearthbooksale and I see it's working for other shops so I'm happy.

End of the Month Reseller Report // January 2023

I am a part time reseller on Mercari, Pango Books, and Ebay. I flip books online, I love having an online bookstore. Here is a break down of my January sales. This was my first month back reselling! I am hosting a giveaway to welcome back all my readers over on my Facebook page where I am giving away 12 vintage true crime novels. I also wanted to celebrate by doing a fundraiser to raise money and awareness for my favorite cat rescue.  My Cost of Goods were .25! I didn't have to pay anything in shipping, here's a small break down of the platform fees: Mercari:  -$3.56 Pango Books:   -.79 Ebay:   $-1.31 Overall, I had a total of 7 transactions. A total of 9 books left the shop! 3 on Mercari 1 on Pango Books and 1 on Ebay. I also had 2 transactions on Paypal. (100% of the profits went to the rescue.) My goal is consistent sales, I ended up listing only 37 books in the month of January. More listings equals more sales!!  My net profit was $17.28, BUT I di...

When Your Best Friend Pulls Out A Yearbook 2010

It's so crazy to look back at myself more than 10 years ago - my skinny jeans, converse wearing, side swept bangs and puka shell necklace self. I just noticed my legs are crossed in both photos. John Earl had a mega crush on me, and we were Literary sweethearts and he even bought me my first typewriter : a vintage Royal typewriter with a locking case.  He ended up marrying a very pretty girl and he seems like the perfect husband.  I was in Literacy Circle (a club for readers) all years in highschool and worked as a media assistant those years too.  Funny how I'm looking at this photograph, 10 years later, selling books.

End of Month Reseller Report - July 2021

How much did I make in July? It's August 2nd and I'm taking a look back at my accomplishments.  What Sold July 1-7 What Sold July 8-14 What Sold July 15-21 What Sold July 22-31 I made $235.54 selling books. I did my first ever listing challenge and I want to do another one - stricker dead line.  List 100 Items in 13 Days. That's half the time it took to do the original challenge. 13 is also the date I was born. A Baker's Dozen. Perfect! When I told Joe at the Post Office I wanted to make $1k or $800 a month he blew a tire and looked skeptical, and he kinda laughed. We both did. Is it such a crazy idea that I deserve this? That at the end of everything, I'll be the owner of a secondhand bookshop. Some cool things I added to my shop: Magic The Gathering Cards, skirts, I opened my Ebay store and added items but haven't completed the set up.  Also, my new goal is to make $100 each week by pursuing sales. Offering to likers on Depop which i never do - posting more i...
