New Youtube video: Reading Vlog

I started making Youtube videos to share my small bookstore and share my love for books. I hope to have my own books published, and to focus on writing careers. I've been listening to Stephen King's On Writing on audio book, and it's narrated by the King himself. It inspired me to look for jobs at the newspaper, and I got as far as an interview but never heard back from the media group who owns the paper, even though he was impressed with my resume.

My Youtube channel currently only has 57 subscribers. I was hoping to have 100 by now, but that's okay. This video I just put up already has 33 views! It's my best performing video so far, which is not saying much. All my previous videos are not cinematic quality. I worked on this video for a week and produced a good, precise 10 minute Reading Vlog. It was fun recording my process for my first Ann Rule book, and I think I'll do another one reading her for a week.

What Sold July 1-7

These weekly What Sold posts kept me organized, so I'm bringing them back. I review what items sold on each platform, how much it sold, the fees, and what my profit was. Every month I have the same goal to make $350, but my dream goal is to make $800 per month just by selling books. I currently sell on Depop, Mercari, Instagram, Etsy, and various Facebook groups. Depop has been incredibly slow - I have not made any July sales yet. In June I had 4 orders, in May I had 3, in April I had 6 orders, 7 orders in March, 9 in February, and 7 in January. What Sold April 2023 // I turned $2 into $121.77!!

March was a bad month for me, I'm not sure if it gets better in April!! No Ebay Sales. No Depop Sales. MERCARI The Ninth House sold for $14, I purhcased for $1.50. My earnings were $11.69. Sold Stack of 4 antique books for $15.00. My earnings were $12.56. These books were Free. Sold the Fox Fire book for $5. This was FREE. My earnings were 3.85. Sold the Silk scarf Carlisle for $14. I paid $1 for this. My earnings were $11.69. sold antique book lot for $76. These were free. I made $65.49. Sold vampire book lot. FREE. I made $4.58 from this $6 sale.
