Something overdue was to have a mid year review. I own a small online bookstore for the last few years, I closed my shop in the middle of 2022 and reoppened in January 2023. What I do is look at my sales for each month, total transactions each month saw, what were my highest net profit sales and what were my worst sales. I mostly sell vintage books but I am now finally opening up to DVD's - a category I used to ignore until I stopped all my streaming services. Growing your movie collection is way more visually satisfying.
In January, I sold a total number of __ items. My profit was only ___. Oh and I cross list on platforms Mercari, Depop, and Ebay. I used to have an Etsy shop for the longest time.
February I sold ___ for a total profit of ___.
March I made ___ off of ___ items.
In April, I made a profit of ___ selling a total of ___ items.
In May, I made a profit of ___ selling ___ items
And for June, I made a total of ___. I had ___ orders.
I didn't make a lot from reselling. My desire is to make $200/week reselling, and books are not it. That hurts me to say, but having a bookshop is a grind. I am much happier when I sell overalls for $30 and get $28 profit and it was only listed that summer.
Let's look at my best sales -
monthly number/ gross sales number / shipping and fees/
total transactions
highest net profit sales
