Dana Findwell is a reseller on youtube who talks about how she calculated her COG's. She lists when she went sourcing, where she went sourcing, how many items were sourced, how much I spent in total, and then i can come up with my average cost of good - instead of a line by line item. i Also want to keep track of when I list an item. The allure of free inventory is all the effort from sourcing is gone, there is no costs of goods, you earn 100% profits. It's hard to withsand for a beginner reseller that allure, it's recommended starting out to sell items you already own or donations to grow captial and use that income to source higher profit items.  You get better at listing and photographing. Items start leaving and you feel this weight lift as you let go of some of the things you've convinced yourself you needed for so long. Some afternoons are spent crosslisting, if you cross list. You're out there sourcing. You answer messages about the items and feel proud you ship fast and package with care and do the best for your customers. You start to tell your friends and coworkers what you do. You ask yourself, how can I do this without having to source and it coming out of my pocket?  some friends and family might ask you to sell items for them, splitting the profits 50/50. So you agree, because why not?...

 I did something new - I shipped my ebay order using the QR code. This meant my item shipped the next day. I'm super happy with that sale as well - it was a FREE item from a bag full of luxury brands like Zara.  The Hospice is right around the corner and I could not resist. My finds did not disappoint!!  12 books, or $3 worth and one Scooby Doo Santa Stocking, I spent $2. It needs batteries but hopefully it works.  I don't have my own stocking, so if it doesn't sell that's okay!  Scooby Doo sings "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" so it's totally worth the $2 and the batteries to see if it's still functional. My total was $6.77. Minus .50 cents for a Christmas plate I bought surely for the purpose of gifting my neighbor cookies.  I spent $5.38 On 3 books - 2 1990s books and one from 2018. Im hoping to turn this into $25-$30 in profit. I did buy some items for my home, just trinkets, and I spent the money I made from the yardsale. Two decorative cat plates I thought could sell in a fundraiser, two decorative candle holders, a entomology beatle cup. Cottagecore. Fairycore. Dark academia. I also did really good putting a lot of items back - i took my time and comped my items. The Box Lunch i knew would be discontinued, with a fan base. And the other one looked interesting, and when i saw how much the game went for I knew even for parts, this would be worth the buy. Only one day left in November.
