What Sold January 2023 -- I turned .75 into $39!!

I'm writing this as late as September, but I realized I never made a detailed blog with my sales in January. In January 2023, I reopened my small used bookstore to the public after quitting a toxic job. There are a handful of sales from mulitple platforms.

In total, I sold 9 books. My COG was only .75. My net profit was $39

EBAY

I Am Legend, sold for $2.99 plus $3.65 shipping. I bought the shipping label through ebay. My total earnings was $1.68. This item was Free.

MERCARI

The Pumpkin Queen for $6. Buyer paid shipping. My earnings were $4.73. This book was Free.

Mythology, my COG was .25. Sold for $7 buyer paid shipping. my earnings were $5.60. Minus my COG, my net profit was $5.35

The Alchemist was FREE. sold for $3. Buyer paid for shipping. My earning were $2.11.

PANGO BOOKS

The Lincoln Highway was Free. It sold for $3.95. I earned $3.16.

I made NO SALES ON DEPOP.

A Wolf at the Door $7 and Walking with Peety (COG .25) $3.95 plus $5.99 shipping. My net amount was $15.99.

The Gospel According to Sam $4.95 (COG. 25) and Wilder Girls $5 plus $5.99 shipping. My net amount was $14.89.

(I will subtract $4.50 for shipping when i total the amounts for both these orders)

These funds were donated to Nine Chances Rescue.

Listing Challenge: I listed like Daily Refinement for A Week

Daily Refinement says you can make $100 a day if you list 5 items that will make you $20 profit. I really like how he puts this into perspective, plus, this challenge motivates you to list items that are worth your time. It's October 1st, and I need to list 5 items! Already the challenge of having enough to source at that high value is evident. All my items I got for free or have been in my closet for a long time. I also want my main focus to be Ebay and Mercari. The first item I listed was this rare, vintage y2k denim overbust shrug bolero. I got this years ago when I started shopping on Poshmark for myself. Or maybe it was Vinted. I don't remember. March was a bad month for me, I'm not sure if it gets better in April!! No Ebay Sales. No Depop Sales. MERCARI The Ninth House sold for $14, I purhcased for $1.50. My earnings were $11.69. Sold Stack of 4 antique books for $15.00. My earnings were $12.56. These books were Free. Sold the Fox Fire book for $5. This was FREE. My earnings were 3.85. Sold the Silk scarf Carlisle for $14. I paid $1 for this. My earnings were $11.69. sold antique book lot for $76. These were free. I made $65.49. Sold vampire book lot. FREE. I made $4.58 from this $6 sale. Sold The Catcher in the Rye, for $5. I earned $3.73. Sold The Fisherman's Wharf, FREE I sold for $13. I made 10.68.
