Thrift w Me //

 


This was one of the hauls I did at my honey pot, the East Texas Hospice last Friday, October 2nd. My first Thrift with Me for the month! I spent $45 on all these items, most of them to resell. One of my goals is to record when I get an item and list it ASAP so when it sells, I know how long it took to resell.  I'm  trying to focus on items that will flip quickly. In the past what sells are beautiful book covers, antique books, classic lit, and nature books. My tiny apartment is also stuffed, I want to sell some of the boots and home decor locally to avoid shipping.


 Not sure if I'll be able to part with those gorgeous horse books, they do perfect with my stuffed animal horses!!

Edit: Alice in Wonderland sold ( What Sold post) and Rebecca sold (What Sold post).  I need to list more of these items to see a profit back.

🎃👻This is the first week of October! Let's see how much I made. Sadly this was my slowest week in sales in 3 months - only 6 sales! Depop has made some changes to the app: added cropping to photos and a My DNA tab to find items you love. It's important not to give up.  3 out of 6 sales were from Mercari. I sold a total of 8 books (I spent $1.50)  and made $24.49.  Frontiers, Prarie Brides Sent an offer for $7 and they accepted. The Mercari fee was .70. Shipping cost was $3.33. I made $2.97. The Outsiders Someone sent me an offer for $7 and I said yes. The Mercari fee was .70. Shipping cost $2.80. I made $3.50   Demi Lovato, Staying Strong Sold for $8. The Mercari seller fee was .80 cents. Shipping cost was $2.80. I made $4.40.   Harry the Dirty Dog This sold on Depop for $9.81. The Depop fee was .98 cents. The shipping fee was $2.80. November Plan With Me / 2020

I have an online secondhand bookshop using Etsy, Depop, and Mercari. I also have a rare nerve disease called CRPS that is gradully getting worse. Hyla brook Books isn't just a distraction, it's a benediction. I applied for my dream job: an children's librian assistant at the library. I had hope that I could make a living of $300/ week reselling - but my record sales in a month was $351.13 (August report). It's my dream to make a living selling my art and books.  What are my top 3 goals for the month of November? What Happened To the Declutter Deathpile Series?

 There were two main objectives in the Declutter Deathpile series, or The Minn Game: 1. Get rid of clutter by removing items from my apartment.  "out with the old, in with the new."  "everything must go"  "letting go of what no longer serves my business" and not listing items that are not worth my time. 2. complete within 30 days removing 1 pound of stuff on day 1, 2 pounds of stuff on day 2, and so on and forth. "a weight off my shoulders" "quantifying how much I let go."
